Job Description
The Principal Architect will be responsible for the architecture, scalability, stability and flexibility of the RedBrick Health product line. This is a hands on position: you will be in the code side by side with our engineering teams.
The Architect will
- evaluate, refactor and continually evolve the product architecture
- recommend and implement improved process, technology, and development approaches
- work with the operations team to evaluate and deliver ongoing stability and scalability enhancements
- provide technical insight for the product management / product roadmap
- understand the customers needs, to better deliver the right product future
- guide, mentor, and correct our strong, young, intelligent, eager development crew
The ideal candidate will have had success in:
- java / grails / groovy performance & refactoring
- API design and modularization
- product componentization
- large scale data workflows
- BI / Data model integration
- full feedback analytics (enabling data driven product management)
- plugin architecture development models, including the ability to embed third party workflows
- the intersection of enterprise-scale data and highly interactive mobile apps
- training, mentoring, coaching individuals and teams
Essential Job Requirements: EDUCATION: Masters-level Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
10+ years progressive engineering leadership 5+ years software product architecture
EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED SKILLS: Java, XML, application performance, scalability (cacheing), component models; agile / modern development management models, LAMP stack.
Training / mentoring junior engineers Communications skills critical
PREFERRED SKILLS: Content management systems; mobile; single signon (SSO), BI / data warehousing, analytics
