You are the type of salesperson who always beats quota, works well in a start up environment, takes direction and initiative depending on what fits the situation, is great at educating clients, skilled at using technology to shorten sales cycles and increase velocity of procurement, enjoys selling dynamic social media solutions to fashion brands selling online and ecommerce pure plays, and can explain the inner-workings of social networking.

The Target Market

The large, legacy retail companies have been losing their dominant grip on the market due to the emergence of smaller, more focused e-commerce companies, which are growing at faster rate. The sub tier-one e-Retail companies have generally been more effective at leveraging the social web to sell product online than their larger, slower moving competitors.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

We are looking for a self-motivated Inside Sales Manager who knows how to identify prospects, prioritize their time, follow through and follow up on requests, communicate internally and deliver energetic and moving on-line presentations and meetings. Motivation is vital to this role. We need individuals who are hungry to get out and make business happen, who do not stop when obstacles are encountered, but rather, find an alternative way to break into a company and continually drive momentum. We want candidates whose energy can be felt on the other end of the line: we want ambition. The ideal candidate will be able to articulate their ability to influence the sales cycle, site examples of moving business through a pipeline, is an expert on social web, online marketing or eCommerce tools, and has excellent communication skills.

Requirements for the Role:


  • Demonstrate the value propositions of our products and services and be able to deliver that message
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
  • Present price and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers expectations and value
  • Obtain accurate information from prospects relating to product and delivery expectations
  • Proactively recommend best practices and introduce our services team to improve the chances of a successful partnership
  • Increase sales and average Monthly Recurring Revenue by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering services
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with our services team to insure that we have met delivery and customer expectations
  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints
  • Remain current on social media, competition and product developments by attending sales meetings, training, or reading trade journals
  • Setup and maintain all customer information in Salesforce.com
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the sales team
  • Maintain proficiency in using computer, common office equipment and software such as clearslide, Salesforce.com, Keynote
  • Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors

Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:


  • Sales Experience and experience is a strong plus
  • Good understanding of 8thBridge’s products and positioning within the market
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated work ethic and consistent over achievement
  • Selling eCommerce, social media or marketing technology focused solutions
  • The ability to learn quickly and be a self-starter are vital to this role

Inside Sales Manager
