Job Description
The junior web developer role is for someone experienced in HTML, CSS and javascript. Candidate will work on multiple projects simultaneously. They will work closely with designers to implement HTML from graphic files and developers to create, update or maintain client websites.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for design and layout. They will also recognize the importance of the small details that create great designs and layouts.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3–6 months of experience in web development
- Demonstrate best practice and develop to web standards using clean and structured markup
- Strong ability with CSS and understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
- Familiarity with CSS grid systems (960, etc)
- Basic understanding of PHP
- Familiarity with theming and updating content on Content Management Systems like WordPress, Drupal, CodeIgniter and Kohana
- Familiarity with jQuery
Additional Skills That Would Be Helpful
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with responsive design
- Basic understanding of MVC
