Data Scientist

Job Description

The role of the Data Scientist at ONE20 is to mine, organize, and present driver data that tells a story and provides value to internal and external partners. This role will work closely with Product Managers, the Development team, and Advertising to gather data, help shape the technology releases, and carry through to monetization.


  • Lead the data collection capability working in conjunction with Product Management, Technology, and Advertising to define/design and execute on the monetization of member data
  • Coordinate data requirement gathering, analysis, and design activities for data projects and data product development
  • Work closely with the product owner to ensure user requirements are satisfied
  • Collaborate with Mobile and Full Stack Developers to help shape the features and functionality of the suite of products as it relates to data collection
  • Create weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc KPI reporting
  • Extract and transform data points from various systems to identify trends for key decision-making. Take that data and continuously work to shape the output into a product that can be utilized internally and externally to provide value to ONE20 partners
  • Develop and implement best practices for instrumentation and experimentation
  • Extracts, processes and transforms data as needed using scripting tools
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics
  • Previous experience in consumer/customer data strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to mine, organize, and present clear data required
  • Experience working with large data sets & cloud-based data platforms
  • Statistics, Quantitative Research/Analysis, Empirical Research, Discrete Math, Probability, Data Mining, Data Conditioning, Media Analytics, Web Analytics, R/Matlab/SAS, Map/Reduce/Hadoop/Hive
  • Fluency with at least one scripting language such as Python
