Venture Capital: Tiny Things, Big Hopes

“Venture capital funding was down for 2009, but it’s showing renewed signs of life.

National venture capital investments last year dropped 36 percent, to $17.7 billion — their lowest level since 1997, according to the latest MoneyTree Report.

In Minnesota, which typically ranks in the top 15 recipient states, venture capital investors put $255 million into 32 deals, the lowest dollar amount since 2002.
