“Rochester-based Mayo Clinic on Tuesday received $12.3 million in stimulus money to strengthen its health information technology (health IT) infrastructure and exchange capabilities.

Mayo Clinic is one of 15 “beacon communities” chosen by the U.S. Health and Human Services Department (HHS) to receive funding through its Beacon Community Cooperative Agreement Program.”
