Minnesota Tech Jobs Board v1 Rolled Out

by The TECHdotMN Team

Since our inception, one of the most recurring feature requests has been for a jobs/gigs/hiring board.

We’ve come to realize what a barrier to growth it is for Minnesota tech companies — startups in particular — that are unable to find the right talent at the right time.

In the spirit our mission, we  rolled out v1 of the feature earlier this week to help the tech community become more aware, connected and successful.

There’s a handful of positions already listed from local firms like TST Media [2][3][4][5], Refactr, MentorMate, Bust Out Solutions and Livefront [2].  Listings are free for product-based high tech startups (< $1m rev & <2 years age) and $50 for all others.

We’ve received some great feedback in the past 48 hours, including:

  • replace copywriter with general marketing category
  • add partnership and intern to job type
  • redefine “startup” to between 3-5 years

How can this be a better resource? Are there any specific elements or functionality you would recommend for v2?  Leave a comment or contact us directly.

How about an RSS feed for the the job board – the one I found on that page is the main feed for TECHdotMN.

Thanks Jeff – I think this is a great addition to tech.mn. Selfishly I love it, as we've got 5 jobs up there and we need them all filled yesterday! Truly though, I think that if this board can serve as an aggregation point for available start-up tech positions and local talent, then all companies involved will benefit. Helping talent to be aware of the available opportunities in our community is a real positive.
