Anser Innovation signs retail deal for PetChatz

PetChatz PetChatz parent company Anser Innovation has reached an agreement with Chuck and Don’s Pet Food Outlet for an exclusive pre-launch arrangement.

The Mahtomedi-based chain will carry PetChatz in their 21 stores located in Minnesota and Colorado four weeks prior to a nationwide launch scheduled for fall 2012.

The integrated hardware/ software telecommunications platform enables owners of household pets — dogs and cats — to remotely interact with their companions using an internet enabled device from anywhere in the world.

Co founded by Mark Kroll, Braden Kroll and Lisa Lavin, the startup was a Minnesota Cup general division winner and inked a deal with Tuffy’s around the same time on a co-branded treat pack for use with the device; their capitalization was $300k at last glance — likely higher now.

“We are very excited to working with the Chuck & Don’s team,” Lavin said in an email statement.
