Mashalot out, Hndl in for Minnesota Cup

Minnesota Cup 2012Minnesota tech startup Mashalot is no longer in the Minnesota Cup business plan competition, says the former CEO Joe Serrano.

He co founded and launched the company with partner John Marino last fall and was chosen to be a semi-finalist in this years ‘high tech’ division, but differences between the two have led to a breakup and subsequent withdrawl.

HndlThe slot is being replaced by a new startup called Hndl which involves Serrano and co founder Ben Damman.
“Your data, your terms, your web,” says the description.

It’s unclear what the future of Mashalot holds, if anything. The high tech division finalists will announced on August 20th and a division winner will be chosen on the 28th before the final awards event on September 6th.
