In less than one week since launch and with 25 days remaining, Minneapolis’ most ambitious Kickstarter campaign has exceeded the $250k minimum funding target needed to get SmartThings off the ground.
Some 1,900+ backers have pledged over $325k for the connected device world project so far, putting things on pace for nearly $2m by September 22, when the window is scheduled to close.
“The response has been awesome,” says co founder Ben Edwards. “We’ve captured the interest of a lot of tech blogs and influential individuals, and really appreciate how the Minnesota tech community has gotten behind us.”
