Drivetrain launches Manymo

Manymo Minneapolis client services firm Drivetrain Agency has officially released Manymo for  ‘Android defragmentation.’

“Manymo is a fast, web-based Android emulator for native developers and QA testers to interactively develop, debug and test on various Android OS versions and screen sizes of almost every known device,” explains partner Dan Grigsby, adding that “It currently supports 99% of the Android market.”

Manymo was initially revealed at MinnDemo in July, and as of today, is fully available for a free seven day trial and $49.99 monthly SaaS subscription thereafter.

“Android developers aren’t treated well for the most part at a core level and we’re going to be good to Android developers,” says Grigsby, who describes the speed limitations of Google’s own Android emulator or the expensive task of maintaining physical inventory for testing.

It’s estimated that there are over 4,000 different Android devices on the market supporting some 500m+ apps.

Founded last year by Grigsby with partners Tom Brice and Pete Schwamb — Drivetrain Agency builds mobile, social and web apps for corporate clients including Anytime Fitness, Star Tribune and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.  Prior to Drivetrain, Grigsby operated iPhone developer media site MobileOrchard, in addition to “half a dozen other companies, including an early e-commerce provider that was acquired by Microsoft and the only ever successful competitor to PayPal.”
