What is the name of the company and/or product? Where is it found online?
What problem does this solve?
How is your thinking style advantageous in the 21st Century world? Radiate shows exactly that. Rather than giving your student a report card with a list of grades for each subject, Radiate reveals how a subject can showcase the student’s progress by thinking style. The 21st Century skills of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity are mapped in an easy-to-understand infographic that can be easily accessed by students, parents, counselors and administrators.
Students will no longer be merely good or bad students. Instead they will learn more about themselves, and how to best utilize their thinking styles, thus giving them valuable direction early on in life.
What is the full launch/release date planned?
The intent is to license Radiate to a student information software company as an add-on or plug-in.
Who is on the team?
What is the specific technology or combination of technologies, framework, languages, etc. that makes this thing run?
PHP, mySQL, and Flash
Is there a revenue model? How big is the market?
Once the license is sold to the student information system company, radiate education will collect payment based on usage/subscription over an agreed upon period (monthly/quarterly/annually.) Student information software companies generally serve 500,000 to 10,000,000 teachers, students and families worldwide.
Radiate Education integrates easily with any student information system tools that teachers are already using. Also, the user interface is simple to understand and the output provides direction and empowers our 21st Century learners.
What is your biggest weakness?
This software depends on integration with a student information system company.
What is one resource you could use that would take this to the next level?
We would love an audience with decision makers from student information companies like Infinite Campus, Pearson, Skyward, and Focus, amongst others.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
When it comes to education, school should inspire children to wonder, discover, create and excel in a caring environment and work in partnership with parents to inspire children to thrive. Through a diverse, innovative curriculum, children should leave school knowing how to create, think critically, communicate, empathize and be collaborative in the ever changing, highly dynamic world.
