Chaska wins another big data center

“MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Chaska officials have scored another win as they seek to turn their city into a Twin Cities data center mecca: M.A. Mortenson Co. is proposing a 115,000-square-foot facility for Dallas-based Stream Data Centers.

Officials at Golden Valley-based Mortenson would like to break ground on the data center this year, with plans for a second, 82,500-square-foot data center later on, said Chaska City Administrator Matt Podhradsky.

Last Wednesday, the Chaska Planning Commission approved a building plan for the first data center, and the City Council is expected to take up the project on Jan. 28.”
