Local startup Cympel joins Nebraska accelerator

Cympel LogoMinneapolis-based Cympel (pronounced “simple”) has joined the inaugural class of Straight Shot, a new accelerator in Omaha, Nebraska.

Cympel is a commerce platform that helps marketers deliver interactive advertisements that allow a customer to immediately purchase the product without redirecting off the website that is hosting the ad.

Straight Shot is part of Dundee Venture Capital, formed by Mike Hasebrook, a self-made investor focused on e-commerce and SaaS startups.

Co-founded two years ago by Jesse Hultgren and Courtland Caldwell, Cympel will receive $20,000 in exchange for 6 percent equity. The program kicks off July 8 through September 30th and concludes in October with a demo day.

“We’re very excited about participating in Straight Shot and leveraging the experience to bring Cympel to market,” said Hultgren.
