When I Work just won the Minnesota Cup High Tech Division

When I WorkThe Minnesota Cup judges just named When I Work (thisCLICKS) as their top pick for this years High Tech division.

What began with over 200 applications was narrowed down to ten semi-finalists, then came three finalists, and at the end of it all — one winner.

When I Work, a product of thisCLICKS, provides enterprise grade ‘mobile-first’ employee scheduling and communication software.  Launched three years ago, they have since accumulated over 2,000 customers and maintain a 99% retention rate.  There are over 100k employees on the platform worldwide, and international market penetration in Canada, UK and Australia.

When I Work is actually a returning participant, having previously placed in the 2011 High Tech semi-finals.

“The Minnesota Cup is a tremendous experience for all entrepreneurs and I’m thankful to be back.  It’s invaluable for getting plugged into the investment community and business community ,” CEO Chad Halvorson says.  “We’re thrilled to come out on top this time!”

When I Work has earned a prize of $25k no-strings-attached cash and runner-up Cognitive Games for Health /  CogCubed will receive $5k.

On Sept. 11 at McNamara Alumni Center they will compete against the other five division winners for the grand prize of $40k, supporting services, bragging rights and a chance to win it all for tech, once again.

“No surprise, the high tech division was very tight.  As a returning entry, When I Work has demonstrated significant progress and excellent metrics that any emerging software company would be lucky to show,” said Scott Litman, Minnesota Cup High Tech division judge and competition co-founder.
