Minnesota Ag-tech startup Conservis is reaping more cash

ConservislogoLocal software startup Conservis is seeking to raise another $2m according to a SEC filing disclosure.

The tech venture has been sowing seeds since 2009 with it’s compliance and sustainability software.  Today, Conservis offers a cloud and mobile enabled data hub that helps farmers small and large reduce costs, grow revenues and manage risk and eliminate compliance headaches.

Growing over the years to seize sizable opportunities, Conservis has fundraised $5.5m locally to date and has 25 employees in Minneapolis, not counting sales reps and contractors. Their customers are in 26 states across the US, Canada, and include a large distributed farm system in Australia.

“Farming is the largest manufacturing industry in the world…mechanization was the first big revolution, the next is informatics,” says President and CEO Patrick Christie.

This might be the most exciting software company in town that nobody knows about.

Hmmm…I wouldn’t say nobody knows about them…they’ve got a handful of early investors who known them well. But they are definitely under the radar, by design.
