Polaris snaps up Twin Cities navigation-software maker

“Polaris Industries Inc. has acquired Primordial Inc., a developer of software that plans fast and stealthy routes for soldiers. St. Paul-based Primordial and Medina-based Polaris didn’t disclose terms of the deal.

Randy Milbert launched Primordial in 2002, inspired by the war film “Black Hawk Down.” He went onto develop Ground Guidance, software U.S. Army soldiers use to navigate dangerous off-road terrain. The company later launched Ooze, a crowd-sourced mapping application it sells to businesses and government agencies.”
