“A tech startup that aims to make connecting seniors with doctors as easy as changing channels is seeking up to $200,000 to prep for a product launch.
The company, A-Vu Media Inc., developed a cable box and multimedia system that allows people to communicate with health care professionals over video chat. The box is paired with a giant TV remote — about the size of those sold during the 1970s — that A-Vu expects will be easy for seniors to use. Other services that come with the setup include the ability to read text messages, make and receive voice calls and, of course, watch TV.”
