awardsTwo local health tech startups — Zipnosis & Adestinn — have been recognized this week for their innovations in health and wellness products.

The Minnesota Health Action Group chose Zipnosis as the winner of the 2014 Minnesota Health Action Group Innovation Award, presented during the Innovator’s Showcase at the 7th Annual Employer Leadership Summit.

Zipnosis is a health care start-up that connects patients and providers through a 24/7, online service, where a patient can be diagnosed and treated for common medical conditions at a low cost.

Following that event, The Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters (MAHU) chose Adestinn as the winner of the 2014 MAHU Innovation Award, presented during its monthly meeting.

Adestinn is the inventor of an innovative employee benefit—a vacation savings account that earns a 50% matching credit.  This benefit, provided through leading insurance plans, helps employers attract and retain employees, while motivating them to use allocated PTO benefits for stress reduction.
