Robotics skills will carry into future

“As they competed in robotics at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, Hermantown students were keeping an eye on a hockey game in St. Paul.  “We have one kid in our pit who has an app on his phone so we can listen to the game,” said Tyler Christianson, 15, a freshman.

He was talking along with a couple of his teammates on Hermantown’s novice FIRST Robotics team, called the Talons, about an hour before their classmates would take the ice to compete for the Class A state hockey championship.”
