Minneapolis startup Heroic shuts down

Launched in the fall of 2011, the venture had pulled-in six figures of angel funding to connect consumers with common services such as plumbers, mechanics and cleaners using social recommendations.

Co-founder Dan Linstroth confirmed the news but declined to expand on any specifics at this time.  Based on his LinkedIn profile, Linstroth is now employed with Spyder Trap.  Peer founders Reed Robinson and Justin Barrett are now with Worrell Design and Life Time Fitness, respectively. Co founder and CTO Ethan Otterlei has since joined another local startup, namely Zipnosis.
