Minneapolis selects Atlanta vendor Parkmobile for smartphone parking app

“A City Council committee approved a request Tuesday morning to allow Public Works staff to negotiate a contract with Parkmobile to develop a pay-by-phone parking meter system.

Parkmobile was chosen over six other companies who responded to the city’s RFP issued in February. It operates mobile payment systems for on- and off-street parking in more than 600 locations across the country, according to its website.”
