Optum’s SnapVet venture brings online diagnosis to pets

“Telemedicine is going to the dogs — and cats — thanks to a veterinary-care venture launched this month by UnitedHealth Group Inc.’s Optum unit.

The business, called SnapVet, lets consumers seek a diagnosis for a pet’s health problems online. Users report the animal’s symptoms to their vet from a computer or mobile device. They can also upload videos or photos.”
