Minneapolis Tech Startup Zivix Turns To Crowdfunding….Again

Minneapolis musical hardware + software startup Zivix just launched on Kickstarter, seeking to crowdfund $50k in 42 days for a new version release of the Jamstik product, Jamstik+.

“Any early adoperters who pledge within the first 48 hrs will be $199 or $100 off list,” VP of business development Chad Koehler says. “One of the benefits of the campaign is to help kickstart tools into schools that are hungering for better Tech in Music Education solutions. Therefore, we are donating 1 Jamstik+ for every 15 we sell on KS.”

Zivix has previously played in the crowdfunding arena, notably a $178k Indiegogo win in 2013 that fueled the original Jamstik released last summer and sold in select Apple retail locations, on Apple.com and Amazon.com.

Overall, the venture has raised ~$10 million since inception of which approx $5 million in Series A last Summer let to manufacturing setup, test tooling, ramp and inventory.
