Minnesota Startup TightKnit Is Raising $225k

TightKnightA startup based in Plymouth called TightKnit is raising $225k with $120k claimed, according to this SEC disclosure.

TightKnit was founded by Eric Peterschmidt to “to capture, share and preserve the family story,” operating as a sort of cloud vault.

“Our TightKnit platform makes it easy for family members to share and preserve the wonderful and sometimes wacky stories that are connected to the photographs, home movies, documents and other memorabilia that are typically hidden away in boxes, on hard drives, or in digital folders in the cloud. We’ve created a hub where families can collaborate — privately — from wherever they may be. It’s a solution intended for everyone in the family — whether technically savvy or technically challenged.”

TightKnit is very similar to another local startup, FamilyBox (formerly ForMyChildren); Peterschmidt could not be reached for comment on the round.
