FLUID Measures Up On Kickstarter

sourced

Locally launched Kickstarter campaign FLUID has surpassed the minimum threshold of $95k needed to close on their hardware + software water meter product.

With ~$96k pledged from ~500 backers so far, two weeks remain on pace to double their target by the October 14th final deadline.

The Learning Water MeterThe product works by sending pulses between two transducers clamped around a pipe to measure the water flow; data is communicated wirelessly to a web/mobile app to establish paramenters for usage.

The purpose is to catch leaks, identify any erratic behavior, and overall increase our consciousness around consumption habits.
FLUID joins a growing list of successful Minnesota IoT/hardware wins on Kickstarter, most recently exemplified by Hidrate and dating back to SmartThings.

There/their/they’re is a typo – suffessful is a blatant disregard for both the glory of spell-check and the craft of publishing.
