SiteImprove Takes $55m Equity Round From Summit Partners


SiteImproveSiteImprove has taken a $55 million dollar minority investment from global growth equity firm Summit Partners to grow their web governence software business.

Over 3,000 customers use SiteImprove for quality assurance, accessibility, analytics, SEO, and performance all wrapped into one SaaS tool.

The 12 year old company counts 260 employees across 11 worldwide offices, predominantly split between Copenhagen, Denmark and stateside headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota.  Funds will be used to further its international expansion, as well as for marketing, development, and talent.

Torben Rytt, a Danish computer scientist who move to the Twin Cities in 2007, heads up the local operation. In September, SiteImprove announced plans of upgrading to 40k square feet at the end of this year and hiring here.

As part of the deal, Summit Partners VP Antony Clavel will join SiteImprove’s Board of Directors.
