The name of the company and platform is Picitlist.

What distinct problem does this solve for who and how does this create value for them?

Picitlist makes “online and mobile” ridiculously simple. This digital jumpstart is great for startups or micro-businesses looking for an easier, faster, more affordable way to do online. It eliminates the need for multiple platforms and paid resources. You just have one place to aggregate and share content in real time, flexible enough to update from any device, even a cell phone. Visually appealing microblog posts are created in seconds to build trust and show expertise. The platform captures and collects leads while allowing messages to be sent through the system to foster relationships. No technical skills or expertise required.

How did you come up with the idea or what was your motivation for starting?

The complexity of starting, managing, and changing websites and social media tools is simply too high, yet having an online presence is critical. We wanted to slash the time and expense involved with getting online while driving down the learning curve associated with these activities. Picitlist is a simple, fast way to jumpstart the online aspects of a business while aggregating all relevant content. The platform provides the flexibility needed to allow a business to ramp up and change quickly without investing a ton of time, money, or resources. It puts everything you need, all in one place.

What is the full launch/release date planned?

Minimum viable product was launched in October of 2016.

Who is on the team?

Our core team started working together 1999 and we’ve been working closely together ever since with groundbreaking technology advancements: corporate, consulting, and startup.

What is the specific technology or combination of technologies is used?

The technologies used to create Picitlist include: Microsoft.NET Framework 4.5, ASP. Net, JQuery, JavaScript, Web Services, AJAX, and SQL Server Database. All programing is based on responsive design so Picitlist list works on any device, even for editing.

What is the size/scope of your market and how will you scale?

“There are 27 million micro-businesses nationwide generating $3.5 trillion annually.” We will target micro-businesses and startups that need a simple, flexible, and affordable solution to deal with their online content and presence as they grow their business that allows them to showcase what works for them. We will scale by leveraging our cloud provider infrastructure, our offshore based teams for additional development resources, and leveraging social media and professional connections for other human resource needs.

Who is the customer and what is your revenue model?

A Micro-business is defined as a business with < 10 employees, “more than half of the new enterprises are sole proprietorships or micro-businesses with no more than two employees. A Picitlist site costs $750.00 per year with full access to the system and ability to export leads generated. We are currently focusing on 1-3 micro-business niches at a time to find the right fit for the right segment.

What is your greatest strength?

Our greatest strength is in our team of seasoned technologists who have substantial experience scoping, building, launching, adapting & ramping software systems in multiple industries.

What is your biggest weakness?

Lack of capital (we are self-funding). Investment capital will be key to driving sales revenue quickly to seize the market opportunity.

What is one resource you could use that would take this to the next level?

Connections. We believe connections to funding and access to the right sales resources will be key to our next phases.
