MinneDemo

The 9th production of MinnDemo will take place on Thursday, January 13, 6:00pm at St. Thomas’ Schulze Hall.

MinneDemo happens roughly 2-3 times per year to showcase real, working technology products made in Minnesota. In January, ten companies will give 7-minute demos of functional hardware and/or software. In addition to the Minnesota tech buzz, the event is known for facilitating some of the best startup networking in town.

Organizers Ben Edwards and Luke Francl have moved the event to St. Thomas from its previous location at Intermedia Arts in Uptown. “We’ve had such a huge level of interest in this event that we’ve needed to move it around as space has become an issue. We’re always looking for better venues,” said Ben. In the past the event has been held at Chang Mai Tai, Acadia Cafe (before it moved), O’Gara’s, and Intermedia Arts.

Updated 1/5/10 12:45 – The 10 demonstrations include:

Minnedemo

Ben Edwards and Luke Francl are at it again! Minnedemo, now in its 8th production, will kickoff this Friday, February 5th, 7:00pm at the Intermedia Arts Center.  Tickets to the live event went fast, but for those who want in the action (and after party), there’s a crowd (50 strong) growing for the concurrent Minnedemo Annex at Moto-i, just down the street.

In collaboration with Minnedemo, TECHdotMN has partnered with Stemmler Productions to provide a real-time livestream of all 10 demo’s – straight through from start to finish.  The stream will be available right here, starting between 6:30 – 7:00. The livestream will also be recorded, archived and made available for your viewing pleasure after everything is all said and done.

In early October, Minnedemo partnered with MIMA for a “best of” technical track that ran throughout the day of the Summit. It was a great opportunity for exposure to the interactive/creative crowd that undoubtedly shares some inroads with the tech startup community. We managed to catch-up with some of the presenters from the event, exceptions being: Mike Bollinger from BannerFlow, Robert Metcalf of FlySpy, Brandon McKenzie from Zeplay, and David Carnes from Wonderfile.
