Spok is currently looking for a passionate Scrum Master to provide Scrum process and framework leadership to one of our development teams to enable consistent delivery of working software. Our teams are building a new application to provide critical communication in the healthcare environment. Doctors, nurses, and emergency personnel use Spok solutions to ensure communications run smoothly when every second counts. This role will facilitate and champion the Scrum process for one of our development teams working on key integration technologies for our new platform. This includes:

  • Facilitate the Scrum ceremonies for your team, including Sprint Reviews, Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives, etc.
  • Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to; be a voice of reason and authority
  • Coordinate with Technical Product Managers and other Scrum Masters on work being done by teams
  • Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation
  • Coach and provide feedback to Scrum team members
  • Promote continuous improvement to increase team effectiveness and foster innovation
  • Provide transparency between the Scrum team and the rest of the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience on a Scrum team, or been a Scrum Master for 1-2 years
  • Experience with SDLC
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • A willingness and ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team
  • The ability and willingness to adapt to an evolving and growing development team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • The ability and willingness to address and resolve negative conflict
