Lawson Software to launch cloud services; some skeptical

Lawson Software CEO Harry Debes predicted in August 2008 that the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry would collapse within two years as people realized the hype was overblown.

Twenty months later, Debes may be regretting those words.

SaaS has not only survived the recession, but a handful of providers have emerged as legitimate competition for some of Lawson’s traditional on-site enterprise software.”
