MixMobi, a technology platform that allows retailers to easily create mobile coupons and offers, announced this week a partnership with Amdocs, a $3 billion global telecommunications services provider.
Amdocs, which operates in 60 countries, develops and implements business- and operational-support systems surrounding “customer experience” touch points (billing, CRM, ordering, digital content delivery, etc.) for global companies. MixMobi will be the mobile coupon partner for a new mobile developers’ “hub” being created by Amdocs. The Hub will reportedly allow developers to write their applications once and deploy them on over 700 devices, as well as access in-app carrier monetization, meaning that application developers will have the ability to sell products through their apps but the billing will be passed on to the customer via the customer’s mobile phone bill.
