Food Heroes is a playful and equally informative iPad nutrition app available now on the for $1.99.

The application is really three games in one; the first, called Word Find, provides kids with fun facts about the foods they consume to reinforce healthy eating habits.  A second, Match Two, enables player to use their matching skills by pairing food pictures. Coloring Book, the third in the series,  involves creating colorful works of art using just the tip of a finger.

BitCrew has been developing mobile and web applications and writing custom mobile software since they launched last fall. In all, the company has successfully launched three different mobile applications, with five others currently under development.

Collectively, the three BitCrew partners — Matt Summers, Gary Alton and Mike Jarosch — are extremely passionate about technology and attributes much of their past experience in content management and software development as inspiration for many of their new products.

“We have a strong interest in the mobile space and enjoy opportunities to blaze the trail with application development, especially when it involves the combination of learning and entertainment,” says Summers.
