A fresh Minneapolis tech startup known as UBER Pro Baseball USA is on the radar, having recently raised $250k of a $750k first round according to disclosures filed with the SEC.
Little is known about the company at this point beyond the linkage to UberFan.com. According to a description from LinkedIn, “UberFan.com gives baseball fans ownership of every pitch and every at bat, and the new hobby of collecting MLB stats. UberFan.com enhances the fan experience by tracking MLB stats fans watch for free in personalized profiles.”
Company founder and CEO Terrence Barthel declined to share specifics but he did elaborate somewhat to say, “UBER Pro Baseball USA is a newly formed company…we’re working on a social media platform for baseball fans and plan to launch in 2013.”
