PreciouStatus reels in $1.2m equity

Minnesota startup PreciouStatus has raised $1.2m of a $1.5m first round of equity capitalization according to a SEC disclosure recently filed by law firm New Counsel.

Julie Gilbert-NewraiAs profiled last week, the subscription-based mobile technology platform offers caregivers (daycare, home care, elder care, rehabilitation, pet, etc.) and their clients a secure real time communication feed to more efficiently maintain and scale critical contact.

Best Buy executive turned tech entrepreneur Julie Gilbert-Newrai founded the company two years ago in response to her own simultaneous struggles around childbirth and death defying family illness.

This new round of capital will help scale operations and distribution, while undoubtedly offering an edge of separation at a time when Minnesota Cup judges are determining which high tech semi-finalists are worthy of advancing to the next round of competition; cannot underestimate the timing and momentum of this milestone.
