“MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Twins, in partnership with MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), today announced the launch of an innovative new mobile game available only at Target Field. Presented by Twins’ sponsor, CenturyLink, “At the Plate” is an interactive game that allows fans to predict which events will happen when the Twins are batting.
“This new game is really a way for fans of all interest levels to interact with the baseball game at a whole new level,” said John Avenson, vice president of technology, Minnesota Twins. “Rather than detract from the game at hand, it actually enhances it and engages fans in a way that has never been done before.”
Developed by Sportsdigita, a Minneapolis-based digital sports marketing agency, in coordination with MLBAM, “At the Plate” is accessible when at Target Field through the MLB.com At the Ballpark application. Currently “At the Plate” is available to fans with iOS devices.”
