Cognific wins Minnesota Cup Student Division

by Mike Bollinger

The Minnesota Cup Student Division judging committee has announced Cognific as the 2012 student division winner. Cognific was chosen from a huge pool of student applicants that was later narrowed down to 10 semi-finalists in June and 3 finalists just a few days ago.

Cognific, a software platform that offers education, therapy and accountability for healthcare providers and patients in the mental health industry, won $10k in seed capital as they proceed to compete for the grand prize on Sept. 6th at McNamara Alumni Center.

The win today, plus a mention in Inc. magazine yesterday, has put some serious momentum behind Cognific in a short time.  “I am very happy to have been part of the Minnesota Cup finals and honored to have been selected as the winner of the student division,” said  Solome Tibebu, Founder & CEO.

“The very generous award has come at a perfect time for us.  We are weeks away from launching our beta and the funds will help to ensure we have smooth operations before and during the launch and will help with enhancements to the product based on customer feedback in the next few months.”
