More BRIDGEdotMN kids ready to go now

by The TECHdotMN Team

BRIDGEdotMN is a collaboration among TECHdotMN, Project for Pride in Living (PPL), CTEP AmeriCorps, and Mobile Citizen formed to equip local youth with resources that directly increase their digital literacy to help them become better students.

The first phase of BRIDGEdotMN’s goal of closing the digital divide for kids from the Twin Cities is to place 50 kids in the program, with 25 having participated to date. By providing computers, internet and training, these recipients have measurably increased their computer skills by 70% on average.

Contributors like Augusoft, Clockwork, Tony Abena, LeadPlayer, Software for Good, Jeff Hinck, StickyAlbums and Livefront have all chipped in so far.

Tonight’s 2nd annual Minnesota Tech Holiday Bash represents an opportunity for six more — Rahim, Lena, Ramahn, Don, Kierra and Harwin — to become digitally literate through financial support from the broader tech community in the form of micro donations.
