TECHdotMN TV: Women in Computing | Sarah Aladetan

by The TECHdotMN Team

In January, Advance IT Minnesota announced the winners of the first ever statewide Minnesota Aspirations for Women in Computing Award.

Six winners and five runners up from across the state were selected based on their interests, accomplishments, and community involvement in computing and technology, as well as for their aspirations in computing and technology-related fields.

We recently attended a recognition and awards ceremony at Unisys and spoke with winner Sarah Aladetan, a Junior from Park Center Senior High School. Sarah wants to obtain a degree in computer science and her dream job would be to work for Google or Facebook, “Maybe even start my own big company some day,” she says. The interview also includes a brief conversation with Pete Mousseaux and Farzana Ashraf from Pearson Vue to hear their take on women in the technology and computer industry.

Special thanks to Maverick Software Consulting for sponsoring this interview and supporting Kirsi’s accomplishment!
