“Target Canada, well on its way toward its goal of opening 124 stores across Canada this year, is now setting its sights on its next Canadian frontier: online shopping. Target Canada Chief Executive Tony Fisher, speaking at a national retail conference in Toronto Tuesday, said he wants to create a “truly Canadian” online site. But he told Canada Real Time he hasn’t set a timeline for its launch.
In a speech to around 900 conference-goers, Mr. Fisher spoke about the company’s bricks-and-mortar stores and offered some hints into what kinds of features he’s envisioning as teams in Canada and the U.S. plan for eCommerce on Target’s Canadian website.”
