Local startup Shared2You is raising $1m to peep on your peers


PowerslydeEden Prairie-based Shared2You, the parent company of Powerslyde, is raising a $1m round of funding, per SEC disclosure filed earlier this week. $360k of the target amount has already been committed.

PowerSlyde is a mobile app that tracking and discovery tool, “To make it easy to share apps back and forth,” says a recent VentureBeat article that picked up on the Android launch last month.

“There are millions of mobile apps in the app store. How do you discover the right ones for you? Powerslyde helps you find the right apps for you with a little help from your friends. Receive personal app recommendations, automatically see when your friends add new apps, and share apps with your friends with one swipe.”

The company claims that 61 percent of IOS apps are currently discovered through personal recommendations. According to the VB piece, Powerslyde’s iOS app racked up 56k installs in the previous month.
