Digital River sells businesses, cuts jobs

“E-commerce company Digital River Inc. sold two businesses and cut 7 percent of its workforce during the third quarter.

The Minnetonka-based company didn’t reveal the number of positions eliminated, but said cuts largely affected employees in operations, administration and sales and marketing. The company, which had 1,473 workers as of Feb. 1, continues to hire engineers, said CEO David Dobson in a conference call with investors.”
