Minneapolis startup Sport Ngin closes $15m series D funding
Mobile + SaaS sports tech venture Sport Ngin has closed on a $15m series D funding round, according an SEC disclosure.
The total round is projected to be $26m, perhaps closing in two tranches.
Short on specific details at this time, we do know $10m came from Piper Jaffray Merchant Banking Division while the other $5m was via ICON Venture Partners.
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Northeast Minneapolis, Sport Ngin has over 140 employees (and hiring); their total venture capitalization is estimated to be $25m.
