MinneAnalytics adds two board members

In the midst of their sold-out marketing analytics event (MAMA) earlier this week, MinneAnalytics announced the addition of two new board members: Graeme Thickins and Lizzy Wilkins.

Graeme Thickins is Founder and President of GT&A Strategic Marketing Inc., a consultancy focused on early-stage technology firms; Lizzy Wilkins is the Senior Data Scientist at Nina Hale, Inc., specializing in measurement strategy and analysis.

“Graeme and Lizzy are always here, they always show up and always deliver,” said MinneAnalytics cofounder Dan Atkins.  “It was really overdue.”

Thickins and Wilkins are the first outside board members to join co-founders Glenn Trygstad, Dan Atkins and Sean Larson, who formed the group circa 2009 as a nonprofit extension of Twin Cities area SAS User Group to serve the data science, analytics, and big data community of Minnesota.

The org hit a critical mass in in 2012 with their retail focused conference and has since continually grown both their audience and scope.   Atkins says that MinneAnalytics membership has grown to reach over 3,800 professionals across some 900 organizations.  Planning is already underway for their 2015 event series, including a repeat of the highly successful Health Care Analytics Conference.
