Target Taps New Chief Information Officer

“Bob DeRodes, who Target Corp. hired last spring to update its data systems after a breach exposed sensitive information of millions of customers, is leaving the company less than a year later.

The Minneapolis-based retailer said this morning that DeRodes, 64, is retiring “after playing a pivotal role in guiding Target’s information security efforts.”

The company also announced that Mike McNamara, 50, who comes to Target from U.K.-based supermarket chain Tesco, will take on that role and will report directly to Target CEO Brian Cornell.”
