“Minneapolis, MN: The Who’s Driving app, which aims to help parents instantly organize carpools, is now available for both iPhone and Android users. The new app eliminates the need for parents to use group texts, email chains, last minute phone calls and complicated spreadsheets to organize their children’s carpools. Instead, all communications about upcoming carpools exist within one interface in the Who’s Driving App.”

“We designed the app to be extremely intuitive,” said Mark Wilkie, Co-Founder of Who’s Driving and former CTO of Buzzfeed. He noted that an important aspect of this user-focused design was to keep all aspects of a carpool, from communication to activity addresses, easily accessible within the app. Wilkie said, “We’ve started with, and will continue to add, only the features that truly add value to our users.”

The app creates a closed network where users only coordinate with trusted drivers they know and approve. Notifications to these drivers are sent when new carpools are set up, drivers are needed, or last minute changes are made. Each carpool can be accessed in a cleanly designed, chronological dashboard within the app, something the founders, all parents, particularly love. “This app is a huge timesaver in terms of how I communicate with the other drivers,” said Anne Cramer, Co-Founder of Who’s Driving. “This is exactly what we set out to do.”
