Topic: Scaling and Growing, 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Why did you select the topic of growing and scaling?

Foreseeing the need and preparing your startup to scale up is one of the most important things an entrepreneur can do to work ON the business while working IN the business. I selected this topic as it’s something I’m actively engaged in at FastBridge Learning, so it’s top of mind. I’d love to help other women entrepreneurs learn from my challenges and from my successes.

How has this been relevant to your business success?

Not every business in poised to make it big, and not every entrepreneur is interested in scaling up their business for growth. But, if significant growth and wealth building is an important goal, it rarely happens by accident. Business leaders need to proactively plan for scalability. Getting the basics down, and considering systems, people, culture, and mindset has helped me to lead FastBridge Learning in our early fast growth stage and into our current fast scaling phase.

What is a brief introduction/overview of your talk?

Scalability is the ability of a startup business to grow. A scalable business can adapt to resource demands without compromising performance or losing revenue. But not every business is poised to make it big. Some startups get off the ground without the right systems, people, or mindset in place. This presentation will walk business leaders through the basics of scaling up your startup, with practical tips and lessons learned.
