The third annual IoT Hack Day is an all-day hackathon in which anyone can form a team and submit an idea for a new “internet of things” product. A grassroots effort, organizers included: Justin Grammens, Patrick Delaney, Dan McCreary, Lauris Grundmanis, Eric Tsai, Brock Johnson, Rama Prasad and Rolf Biernath.

On Hack Day, teams have 12 hours to get as far as they can in creating their products before presenting their creations to peer attendees at the end of the day. This year’s event was held at Minnetronix in St. Paul and we filmed the outcomes:

Special thanks to everyone who made IoTHackDay 2016 another great success!

Brock and I worked and slaved through the night until 8 in the morning [cough–evening–cough–Shenzhen–cough] to participate :-) Was really exciting to present to the Minneapolis crowd over WeChat video! Seeing the volunteer there control our LumenCache lights using his smile was awesome.

Another amazing experience! I was once again blown away by the participation and innovation shown by all of the team this year. Thank you to everyone who helped us make the event be something special. We are looking forward to doing it again in the future and hope to see you at the next one!
