Minnesota SaaS startup TeamGenius is gaining ground in the youth sports tryout and player development market since launching in July.
At the top level, most importantly — 30 paying customers are now using the product now, pushing them swiftly in the direction of positive cash flow.
Cofounder Chris Knutson says this has resulted in ~12,000 unique players evaluations so far, no small feat for the bootstrapped venture that’s been only on the market for four months. TeamGenius has a per player licensing model and an estimated 60 million kids play youth sports of some kind in the United States.
Coming out of the inaugural gBeta program in two weeks, they intend to “get the business in order to be investable.”
