Screen Shot 2017-02-06 at 7.16.04 AMGovDelivery CEO Scott Burns has stepped down following the merger with Colorad-based Granicus announced last October.

In an interview at the time, Burns said that the ‘future was unknown’ when queried around his role and the combined corporate leadership moving forward.

Today, the company announced dropping the GovDelivery name in favor of Granicus under new leadership of CEO Mark Hynes.

Burns was CEO of St. Paul-based GovDelivery for 17 years, now an advisor to Granicus in addition to his outside angel investment with (ie- Matchstick Ventures) and personal philanthropic activities.

GovDelivery was sold to Vista Equity Partners for $153m just before the Granicus merger was announced in a deal that Burns had wanted for some time.
